Backgrounds

When you go someplace new or some place that you have been before grab an extra map or two. This is a great way to make a background to your scrapbooking page! Plus, it gives it a personal touch that nobody else will have. So bring home an extra map and save the tickets from the event and use them as a back ground. It will also show the date and time you were there for more details added to your special page. Also, remember when taking road trips most welcome center have maps for that state inside these also make good background. This best this these are all free ideas! Enjoy!

Make Your Own Graduation Cards

We all know how much money that we can spend on Cards. Even going some place where they offer them at 1/2 price does not always seem to help. So break out the card stock and make your own card. This is something that I forget to so all the time and it really truly is a money saver! So my cousin's open house it this weekend and I have made a card for him! I made it in his school colors to give it an extra touch and that way it was made just for him! And do not forget to make the matching envelope!

Free Time

This is something that I have started to do in my free time. Not that there is much but something that I can do almost anywhere. I bought a start kit for the In Stitch'z line and like it because it adds something home made to my son's scrapbook. And I can also use old scraps of paper to make these this is what is so nice. So when I have free time at home I got and I think of the next shape or sayings that I will want to add next and then punch them out. After that I can work on them anywhere. Waiting for appointments watching TV or in the car that is what is so great about this. Also, another way you could save money this the In Stitch'z is to buy thread at a craft store plus Michael's and Hobby Lobby almost always have a coupon on there websites for that week. Good Luck and have fun!

Step Two - The List

Here is the the tricky step make a list before you go! Remember when you are shopping that you only can work on one section at a time or you end up with blank pages in the middle and if you by things in advance you might forget that you have them or find something else later. If you do buy something out of order put it with the picture so you remember that you have it when it comes time to so that section. So before you go make a list of what letter stickers you need and what kind of stickers that you are looking for!

Step One - Organize

This is where I have always had problems in the past. I look at this as a big project and not little steps. We all know that it can be over welling to go into that favorite scrapbooking store but in a good way and you want tons of things. Well, at least that is the way it is for me. My husband hates it when I go to the scrapbooking store because I use to come home with new stuff all the time. And I'm still on my son's first two weeks of life. So step one is to organize and know what you have before you go back to that wonderful store. Here is a few ideas on what I have done.

Each shelf has something different.
Example:

Stamps

Scrap Paper

Paper

Important Papers and Art Work

Pictures

Bins are great for smaller things!
Examples:

Stickers

Stamp Pads

Cutting tools
